Degrees:

Ph.D. University of Tennessee, 1995

Research Interests:

My research focuses on factors affecting population and community dynamics in various ecosystem types, 1) the influence of predator-predator interactions on the stability of communities, 2) the relationship between diversity and stability, and 3) conservation biology especially in terms of endangered species and invasive species.

Recent research includes: food web structure over time and space in the Mulberry River drainage;  the influence of diet on crayfish stable isotope signature; and the status of box turtles in Arkansas.

These projects and related work are carried out using a combination of observation and experimentation in the field and in the lab and theoretical studies (mathematical ecology).

Academic Interests:

Community Ecology, Conservation Biology, Theoretical Ecology.
