Welcome
The Department of Biological Sciences maintains emphasis in two areas of concentration: Cell and Molecular Biology, and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. With one of the largest undergraduate majors at the university, the Department of Biological Sciences offers bachelor’s degree programs that expose students to a rigorous background in basic and advanced biology. Graduate work leading to the M.S. or Ph.D. degrees include specialization in departmental areas of concentration, and in cross-campus, interdisciplinary graduate programs. The department’s USGS Arkansas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit offers graduate training in wildlife management and fisheries biology.
