Spring Walk on Rich Mountain

Queen Wilhelmina Lodge on top of Rich Mountain (34.684909, -94.368947). Meet in the parking lot outside the lodge.
Come spend a (most likely) misty spring morning in the Ouachita Oak Montane Forest
on top of the second highest peak in Arkansas with Virginia McDaniel (Forest Service
botanist) and Jennifer Ogle (University of Arkansas Herbarium). Rich Mountain is known
for its sky island forest of stunted oak woodlands and rich herbaceous vegetation.
This trip is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Native Plant Society and UARK Herbarium.
Level of Difficulty: Trail will be rugged and rocky so bring some sturdy walking shoes.
